To "not drinking since 3 months"Our meeting lists can be found under "Meetings & Events". Although some of the meeting are in English, you will almost always be able to find someone who speaks German. There is also a German meeting list under "Meetings & Events".

hey everybody,
i would like to sign the AA group in HD- Boxberg on satuardays....
but is it just in englisch??

and is it every saturday??

and thank you all for your comments regarding the website.More importantly, thank you all for your support, friendship, and for helping this drunk stay sober. :-) Just to think... the journey has only begun... stay soberish. Greetings! First about the last name: Wasn't it Dr Bob who was credited with saying "there are two ways to break the anonymity tradition: going public, and not revealing yourself to someone in need as a person who has found an answer" (paraphrased only - gave up the book hound years ago).I was a member of English-speaking AA groups in Garlstedt (nerar Bremen) and Frankfurt back in the 1980's and had a true "Vision for You" experience, still have friends from those days. I now work for the federal government as a civilian, am considering applying for positions in Europe and was checking iin to see if things were still well with English-speaking AA there. Seems it is although many fewer meetings than before the draw-down. God bless everyone - hope to visit one day, one day at a time.

Hello Yawl !!
Just thought I would drop a line and say HI !! to ALL OF YOU. I used to go to meetings there. I had a lot of good times and few bad times there. My wife Heide & I plan on staying in Worms Sat & Sun 23rd & 24th of June and then Monday she will head South on a train and I will head back to the hills near where we live.

Hello Heidelberg.It is good to see that the Heidelberg Group of English AA is still going! I was part of the Heidleberg Group from 1986 until I returned to the states in 1996. Still part of AA in a small town in Northern Calfornia called Herlong; the group is samller than the group in Heidelberg. If any of the old crew is still there hello! I don't know if you heard, but a long time member from Heidelberg, Walt D., died suddenly this past February in Flordia, still sober. Take care! Jim T

I am absolutely thrilled to find this website, I am basically a newcomer to the program and walking on thin ice still most of the time. I have only a short period of sobriety and I don't want to do anything to jeopordize it while I travel to Heidelburg in April thru May 10th (where the beer is abundant and noone would ever know but me). If anyone sees this e-mail and is interested in maybe showing me to a meeting or two while I am there, I would be eternally grateful. Thank's to the grace of my higher power and the fellowship of AA for each day of my sobriety.

Wow, it's great to see such a great web-site...I am looking forward to coming back to Wuerzburg and hopefully getting out to Heidelburg to come to a meeting. ich bin ein kind einer alkoholkranken mutter, ich bin mir bewusst, dass alkoholismus eine krankheit ist und weiß wie schwehr es sich damit leben läßt. ich gehe zur zeit in die gruppe al anon in mannheim in eka erwachsenes kind, so sagt man wohl mit recht . ich bin froh das es diese menschen gibt.

I remember my first meeting in Heidelberg. Terry S. picked me up at the PX. Leisel and the other folks were all so welcoming. I had only been a l8 months soberish. I miss you all so...
It's true you can find AA everywhere....but I shall always remember Heidelberg. 8o)

Well this is strange. Heidelberg is where I began my insanity. In high school. I remember staggering into Patrick Henry Village. Anyway I am working on "The Agape Center" the website for my clubhouse in Columbus Georgia. Greetings All--
I have registered to attend the Belgium conference for February, and would like to know if anyone else from the Heidelberg area is planning on going. I am debating whether to drive or take the train.
Also, because Alateen is not available here in Heidelberg, i would like to know whether there would be any interest in establishing an Alateen group. I have a 16 year old who I know would love to work with other kids, discussing their experiences etc.

I am so happy to catch up on your meetings. I've attended them in past visits to my children and grandchildren. I'll be arriving with Santa for a short visit; hope to make it to a meeting then.

Hi everybody, I really miss you all (each and every one of you){especially my really sick friends!}and the everyday meeting possibilities. I am in good meetings at Bitburg, Koln Wed english speaking and Koln German meetings I am also starting to enjoy and talk more cause they are sometimes small.

I am moving to Heidelberg this fall and am looking for a group where I can hang my hat for about the next three years. I am thrilled to see this terrific website here! I hit my 2-year anniversary on 14 September and attend meetings regularly. Would love to hear from anyone about the kind of program I can expect once I arrive.
